Welcoming New Leaders: Strengthening Our Hospital for Future Improvements in Care
December 12, 2024This year we welcomed several new leaders who will play essential roles in shaping the future of Hospital for Special Care (HFSC). These individuals bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a deep commitment to advancing patient care. Their leadership will support our mission to improve the quality of services and ensure that we continue to provide exceptional care to every patient, every time.
We welcomed Jonathan Woodhouse, PsyD., ABPP-CN as our new Medical Director of Neuropsychology in June. Dr. Woodhouse is a highly experienced clinical neuropsychologist with a broad range of expertise in diagnosing and treating neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions. He is board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN) and is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Woodhouse’s expertise and credentials make him a leader in his field, dedicated to improving patient care through advanced neuropsychological assessment and treatment.
Building a Stronger Team for Better Care
Our hospital has long been dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our community. Each leader was chosen for their expertise, values, and passion for healthcare improvement. They bring a wealth of knowledge to the team with diverse backgrounds in healthcare administration, clinical care, and patient services. Their leadership will guide us as we navigate an increasingly complex healthcare environment, ensuring that we stay adaptable, patient-centered, and committed to medical excellence.
Anne Wojskowicz was promoted to Chief Nursing Officer in February. Wojskowicz had previously worked at HFSC for the past 24 years where she most recently was the Nurse Manager of our Pediatrics and Transitional units. Over the past year, she has shown exemplary leadership to ensure high-quality patient care. She will continue to implement strategic initiatives to improve patient outcomes and the overall effectiveness of the nursing team.
Strengthening Community Relationships
Our hospital’s mission extends beyond the walls of our facility. It is essential to build and nurture strong relationships with local organizations, government agencies, and community leaders to ensure we meet the health needs of the people we serve. The new leaders joining our team share this vision and will work toward strengthening our community ties.
Welcome Elizabeth Szymanoski, as our Director of Philanthropy in January. Szymanoski has 13 years of healthcare and community fundraising experience. In her new role she has led development initiatives, she provides personalized support in helping donors meet their philanthropic goals through major gifts and planned giving programs.
