Twenty-Sixth Annual Kelser Charity Challenge raises $50,000.00 for Hospital for Special Care’s Center for Cognitive Health

NEW BRITAIN, CT – Kelser Corporation, a managed IT firm based in Glastonbury, hosted the twenty-sixth annual Kelser Charity Challenge Golf Tournament on September 12, 2023 at Indian Hill Country Club in Newington. Their flagship philanthropic event raised a record-breaking $50,000.00, benefitting Hospital for Special Care (HFSC)’s Center for Cognitive Health. The tournament featured 18 holes of golf, lunch, contests, raffle, a silent auction, dinner reception, and the event’s signature helicopter ball drop.
Barry Kelly and Lisa Carroll, Kelser Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Revenue, presented the donation to Lynn Ricci, FACHE, and Stan Jankowski, HFSC’s President and CEO, and Vice President and Chief Information Officer. “Kelser’s continued support of this neuroscience initiative is critical to our clinical care, research and service innovation,” Ricci states. “The support of community partners like Kelser speaks volumes to the high-quality care we provide to patients and families experiencing advancing age changes,” says Dr. Anthony Rinaldi, Co-Director of the Center for Cognitive Health. “Together, we help individuals adjust and better manage day-to-day life.”
The proceeds raised from the tournament will help HFSC provide enhanced health resources for the aging population. The Center for Cognitive Health treats cognitive decline, emotional health, language abilities and functional changes associated with advancing age. Clinical neurologists work with a multi-disciplinary team to design individualized treatment plans for patients and their families.
