Jordan's Joyride: Discovering Strength on Horseback

Jordan always had a love for animals, especially horses. Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center was a perfect fit for her; a place that could combine her love of horses and learn important life skills and build her confidence.

Her parents Pam and Peter tell about her first time on the horse, her face lit up with joy. This wasn’t just a ride; it was the beginning of a beautiful bond.

For Jordan, riding became a dream come true. It was more than just a pastime; it was a journey of self-discovery. She learned the power of perseverance and the importance of believing in herself with her companion, Harley.

Harley is the, the greatest horse in my life. I do love him. He makes a wink at me. I, I do love it here, it's my oh, it was my dream come true.

Riding Harley requires focus and discipline. Every command mattered, and she learned to pay attention to the subtle cues of both Harley and the environment around them. It was during these moments of concentration that she discovered her own strength and resilience. Her dad says, “On the way home, she’ll say, Well, how did I do? And by the time it’s done, she realizes that she’s awesome.”

On the way home, she'll say, Well, how did I do? And by the time it's done, she realizes that she's awesome.
