Outpatient Autism Services Relocation

Since we established the Autism Center in 2012, we have delivered behavioral health care and outpatient therapies out of the Research & Education Building at 370 Osgood Avenue in New Britain. Our lease for that building expires later this year, so we will be relocating to new spaces that will better meet our needs and provide an improved experience for you and your child.

Behavioral Health Clinic (Psychiatry, Psychology, and Social Work)

Our providers clinic, for patients who receive psychiatric care/medication management, and/or who see a psychologist or social worker for psychosocial therapy, will relocate to 80 Shunpike Road in Cromwell. The new office is located in a modern professional/medical building with easy access from Routes 9 and 372. We anticipate opening at this location on November 2. Patients with appointments scheduled for or after that date will be seen in Cromwell. (An updated provider list is included with this letter.)

Outpatient Therapies (Physical, Occupational, and Speech/Language)

Our outpatient therapies, for patients who receive PT, OT, or speech/language services, will relocate to the Hospital for Special Care main campus at 2150 Corbin Avenue in New Britain. We anticipate conducting therapy appointments at this new location starting November 2.

Over the next few weeks our patient care team will be working with you to schedule future appointments at our new locations. We understand that the relocation of our behavioral health clinic will be more convenient for some families, while being less convenient for others.
