Hospital for Special Care Welcomes Leanne Price, Psy.D, Clinical Psychologist to Autism Center

March 1, 2021

Hospital for Special Care (HFSC) has welcomed Leanne Price, Psy.D to the hospital’s Outpatient Autism Center.

Dr. Price recently joined HFSC as a clinical psychologist in the HFSC Autism Center, which is recognized by the National Committee of Quality Assurance as the country’s first and only Patient-Centered Specialty Practice for Autism. Dr. Price will provide a variety of diagnostic, assessment and therapy services for children and adolescents impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder as a part of the center’s multidisciplinary team.

“In these challenging times, services for families with autism have been overwhelmed and strained. At our autism center, we have established and have been strengthening our continuum of services for youth and families with autism. Dr. Price has already helped build our capacity to support children, families and school systems in our community,” said Hassan Minhas, MD Chief of Autism Services. “Her background in psychotherapy and psychological evaluation of children and adolescents with ASD is a valuable addition to our integrated team approach, which allows us to better and more efficiently care for children and families.”

Leanne Price completed her Masters of Education and her Doctor of Psychology Degree at Springfield College. She completed a pre-doctoral internship at Clifford Beers Clinic in New Haven, CT and completed post-doctoral training as a clinician and evaluator at the Clifford Beers Marne Street Autism program.
