Hospital for Special Care Hosts Juried Photography Show Call for Submissions
April 20, 2022NEW BRITAIN, CT – Hospital for Special Care is hosting a Juried Photography Competition & Exhibition May 5 – June 30, 2022. A portion of the proceeds support the Joy of Art! program at Hospital for Special Care.
Those interested may submit up to two original pieces for the virtual and in-person exhibition. Submissions will be taken on Friday, April 29 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 30 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the HFSC Aquatic & Fitness Center. The submission information and fee must be submitted online at the link below prior to drop off.
There is an entry fee of $25 for one submission and $40 for two. The size for the piece is limited to 42 inches, including frame, in any direction. All works must be wired for hanging. Three prizes will be awarded, as well as Honorable Mentions awarded at the discretion of the Juror, Christine Breslin.

The Joy of Art! program hosts exhibitions throughout the year and supports art groups and activities that helps patients feel engaged with the community. Art is integrated into patient care, providing holistic patient-centered healing. Patients get the opportunity to express their emotions through creativity, stimulate their minds and feel joy during their hospital stay.
