Foundations Support Manes & Motions

November 26, 2018

The George A. & Grace L. Long Foundation, Bank of America, N.A., Co-Trustee has made a $2,000 grant to the Rider Assistance Fund. This generous gift will provide scholarships specifically for children with special needs.

A $2,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Middlesex County will support the Pathways Youth Development Program. This innovative program incorporates developing self-awareness, critical thinking, confidence, goal-setting, empathy and communication skills through guided experiential learning with horses and professional staff.

Manes & Motions received a $500 Messenger Transparency Grant from the EQUUS Foundation.  This foundation’s mission is to protect America’s horses, enable as many people as possible to benefit from the horse’s unique ability to empower, teach, and heal, especially people with special needs. This gift helps cover some of the costs associated with keeping our herd of horses healthy and happy, such as hay, vet care and new shoes.

Financial support from these organizations and the many individuals and businesses that invest in our participants help sustain Manes & Motions and advance our mission.
