Aging and Brain Health – Exercise is Medicine

Hospital for Special Care’s Center for Cognitive Health presents free monthly lunch and learn sessions focusing on topics related to cognitive impairment and options for care. Come learn about latest evidence-based practice and how this can benefit your brain health as you age. Presentations are offered in-person or virtually on the first Thursday of every month.

Our August session will focus on exercise as medicine. Sarah Barnes, PT, DPT, Board Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy and Dorothy Villano, PT, DPT, Board Certified Specialist in Geriatric Physical Therapy with the Center for Cognitive Health will present how exercise counteract the effects of aging, improve mood, reduce stress and enhance quality of life.

A light lunch will be provided, and staff will be available afterwards to answer questions and provide tours of the hospital. Please RSVP as space is limited and registration is required. When calling, please note if you will be attending in-person or remote.
