AAC in Action: Practical Case Studies for Pediatric and Adult Populations
June 18, 2026Based on survey feedback, SLPs within CT have identified a basic knowledge gap within the scope of AAC. An AAC course was hosted at Hospital for Special Care in March of 2026. Using feedback from that course, a second course was designed. In this follow-up session, participants will apply AAC evaluation and intervention principles through interactive pediatric and adult case studies across a variety of clinical settings. Learners will develop practical problem-solving skills related to device selection, access methods, intervention planning, and functional AAC implementation.
This course will be offered in person. Information will be delivered via lecture, demonstration of procedures, video(s), meet and greet with vendors and hands-on practice with AAC devices.
