COVID-19 Update:
Our Equipment Exchange program has temporarily suspended activities and will not be processing equipment requests or accepting donations at this time.
Special Care Equipment Exchange accepts donations of used canes, walkers, shower chairs, manual wheelchairs, commodes, and other assistive medical items. This expensive equipment, not always covered by insurance, is made available, free-of-charge, to community members in need.
Request Equipment
If you are in need of any equipment, please leave a message with your name, phone, and the item you are requesting. A volunteer will return your call on the next business day. When the item is available, you may pick it up from our porch during daylight hours. If it is not in stock, we can add your name to our waiting list for a maximum of four weeks.
Donate Equipment
In addition to the hard work of our many volunteers, the Equipment Exchange runs entirely through donations of equipment. If you wish to donate clean, working equipment, you may leave it at the house during daylight hours. Receipt forms are on the porch windowsill. We cannot accept hospital beds, electric wheelchairs and scooters, or electronic devices.
