The Hospital for Special Care Auxiliary opened a Thrift Shop in downtown New Britain in 1953. Since that time, a staff of dedicated volunteers has served two purposes: to raise funds to support HSC programs and our patients, and to provide the community with affordable "gently-used" clothing, jewelry, and hardcover books.
The Thrift Shop is at 89 West Main Street in New Britain
Hours are usually
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10-4
- Tuesday, 10-3,
- Saturday 10-2
- closed on Thursday.
