NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (March 28, 2011) – Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc. is hosting its 6th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser at Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Kensington, CT on April 6, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The charity event is open to the public and benefits Middletown-based Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center, a Member of the Hospital for Special Care Community.
"We look forward to another enjoyable evening of wonderful company, learning more about the diverse selection of wines, and of course, having fun, all to benefit our Manes & Motions' mission," said Catherine Cannon, 2011 Manes & Motions Wine Tasting Chair. "All proceeds from this event support the daily operations of Manes & Motions, a not-for-profit organization that benefits adults and children living with physical, emotional, or cognitive special needs including U.S. veterans who are challenged by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder."
The theme of the event is "Celebrating Our Rider Families," and guests will enjoy wines from the Old World to the New World, from Italy to California.
An individual guest donation for the evening is $40. To register in advance, please call 860.832.6257. Guests may also register at the door. For an additional donation of $15, guests may participate in an exclusive tasting of dessert wines paired with decadent desserts.
