NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (March 15, 2010) – Hospital for Special Care is proud to announce its annual nursing scholarship program for students who are enrolled in or accepted into an accredited-nursing program pursuing a first-time, Registered Nursing (RN) degree.
Both full-time and part-time students are eligible for the scholarship program. All applicants must reside in the Greater New Britain area from any of the following towns: New Britain, Berlin, Farmington, Plainville, Newington and Southington.
Candidates will be selected from the following categories:
- High school senior or community student
- Family member of a benefits-eligible employee of Center of Special Care, Inc. (CSC) (family includes spouse, child or grandchild)
- Volunteer or a member of their family at CSC (family includes spouse, child or grandchild)
Applications are now available to qualified candidates, and the application deadline is April 30, 2010.

This scholarship program is funded through the Hospital for Special Care Foundation Annual Giving Program and through the Advancement for Nursing Endowment Fund.
