NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (July 10, 2009) – Hospital for Special Care President and Chief Executive Officer David J. Crandall, FACHE, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.

Upon being appointed, Crandall remarked, “I am honored to be a part of an organization that provides such great support and service to its members. I look forward to expanding my role in supporting this important organization and contributing the insight and expertise I have gained throughout my career.”

With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Crandall was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Hospital for Special Care in 1997. He joined the hospital in 1985, serving various management and leadership positions, including Executive Vice President of Administration and Chief Operating Officer.
