Hospital for Special Care: Media Statement regarding Shooting Incident [1]

“Last evening at approximately 5:50 p.m. EST, following an employee disciplinary action, two Hospital for Special Care employees were shot by a fellow employee.  Hospital staff immediately implemented safety protocols and local EMS and law enforcement officials quickly arrived on the scene, cared for the injured and locked down the facility.  The shooting occurred in an isolated building maintenance area and patients were never in danger.
