Required: Master's degree in related field; Bachelor's degree in a clinical field (RN, RRT, etc.). Must hold current certification and/or license; minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting; five years successful performance improvement and healthcare management experience demonstrating effective leadership, abilities to include creative planning, analytical problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills; experienced in facilitating organizational compliance with regulatory and Accreditation standards; demonstrated commitment to life-long learning and continual quality improvement. Certification as "Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality" (CPHQ) through the National Association of Healthcare Quality preferred. The VP of Quality serves in a leadership role for the Center of Special Care in the areas of quality and performance improvement, patient safety program integrity, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, CORE Measures, patient experience/satisfaction and reduction of Hospital Acquired Conditions. This individual is responsible for the promotion and support of systems and processes to achieve high quality, safe, cost effective healthcare. Includes ensuring effective measurement assessment systems to assess effectiveness of patient care and services by provided and/or directing the processes for monitoring and evaluating organizational structure, processes, outcomes and practices.
