Required: Bachelor’s degree, minimum 9 credit hours of specialized course work in administration, leadership & management (school or business management, communication, technology, early childhood management); minimum 24 credit hours of specialized college-level course work in early childhood education, child development, elementary education; 5-10 years proven ability as an educational leader with demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills; 5-10 years administrative experience working with children and families in a NAEYC early childhood setting; knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum development and implementation; knowledge of Department of Public Health licensure for early child care centers; strong knowledge of NAEYC accreditation of early childhood programs and ability to maintain accreditation. Preferred: Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; experience facilitating School Readiness grants. The Director of the Child Care leads and administers a developmentally based child care program which provides hospital employees with reliable, quality, on site care for children enrolled from 3 months to pre-school age. The Director is responsible for DPH licensure, and accreditation requirements for the program. Qualified candidates must provide transcript at time of application.
Required: Master’s degree in nursing or health service management/administration with a BS in nursing; minimum of 5-years nursing experience to include progressive healthcare leadership in management/supervision; demonstrated experience at the director level with organization-wide patient care responsibilities and ability to achieve results in a matrix structure; staff development, orientation, competency assessment & curriculum design; working within an interdisciplinary team structure. This position assumes 24-hour responsibility for implementing the hospital’s m/v/v through the assessment, planning, implementation & evaluation of clinical education and professional practice. Develops, maintains and evaluates systems that support a patient-focused environment & organizational excellence, ensures program development, excellence in clinical practice, clinical standards, fiscal integrity and quality. Reports to and collaborates with the VP of Patient Care Services/CNO in setting the strategic direction for nursing and development of professional practice.
