JoAnn Page is an integral part of the Professional Development team at Hospital for Special Care. JoAnn performs her role in a professional manner with a keen attention to detail, organizational efficiency and a commitment to excellence. She is a resource to others in her own department and adds value to every aspect of department operations in which she engages.
JoAnn provides support for a wide variety of departmental operations to ensure the Professional Development department functions smoothly and communication is maintained within the group. JoAnn is the department “gatekeeper”, offering administrative support to the consultants and educators. She manages our HealthStream program, performing data entry, creating reports and building courses, user groups, tests and learning modules.
JoAnn demonstrates a positive attitude in all interactions, often going above and beyond what is expected of her. She is a model for customer service. JoAnn discovered an elderly patient and his wife waiting outside the radiology suite and overheard that the patient needed assistance. She directed and assisted the couple, then returned to radiology to notify the staff of the whereabouts of the couple. When a colleague hurt her back, JoAnn met her at the door daily to park her car until she was able to walk the distance from the parking lot. Things like this are an everyday occurrence for JoAnn with patients, visitors and co-workers.
JoAnn is a model of efficiency, thanks in part to her proactive approach to workflow and her exceptional organizational skills. She meticulously manages large volumes of orientation records, CPR class documents and data management. She keeps our educators “on their toes” and facilitates their ability to retrieve data quickly.
When a problem arises, JoAnn always offers potential solutions or alternatives to achieve the most effective results, employing a cost effective and creative approach. It is evident that she takes pride in providing service excellence and a job well done!
