Senior Development Consultant of Catholic School Management selected for Foundation Board

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (Jan. 24, 2012) – Hospital for Special Care [1] (HSC) announces the appointment of Richard E. Feitel, Senior Development Consultant,
Catholic School Management, Inc., as Chairman of the Hospital for Special Care Foundation, Inc.’s Board of Directors. Feitel was officially appointed to the Board at the Hospital's 14th Annual Meeting of Corporators & Donor Appreciation Reception.
“In addition to his keen sense of community, Richard’s strong communication skills and expert consultative guidance will make Rich a most valuable asset to our board,” said David Crandall, president and CEO, Hospital for Special Care. “We are very pleased to have such an experienced development professional join our team as we continue to grow and execute many initiatives and lofty goals.”
As Chairman of the Hospital for Special Care Foundation, Inc., Feitel now presides at all meetings of the Foundation’s board of directors and its Executive Committee, and leads this board in its work to raise and allocate funds to support the missions of Hospital for Special Care, HSC Community Services, Inc. and Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc.
Presently, Feitel is a senior development consultant for Catholic School Management, Inc., a full-service financial, management, educational, marketing and development consulting firm serving Catholic schools, parishes, dioceses and religious communities. He specializes in comprehensive development programs and in the design and functioning of institutional advancement programs. Additionally, Feitel implements communications programs, alumni programs, capital campaign feasibility studies, annual giving programs and consultative guidance for capital campaigns.
Feitel was an active member of the Xavier High School community in Middletown, Conn. for more than twenty-nine years. He was involved in its strategic initiatives, organizing and implementing Xavier’s annual fund drive, planning and managing major fundraising events, forming and building an active alumni association, preparing and publishing newsletters and annual reports and successfully completing multi-million dollar capital campaigns for both Xavier and Mercy High Schools.
