The Hospital for Special Care Auxiliary opened a Thrift Shop on Arch Street in New Britain in 1953. Since that time, a staff of dedicated volunteers has served two purposes: raising funds to support HSC programs and our patients, and to provide the community with affordable "gently-used" clothing, household items, jewelry, gifts, and accessories.
Special Care Corner is at 96 Arch Street in New Britain.
Hours are usually
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10-4
- Tuesday, 10-3,
- Saturday 10-2
- closed on Thursday.
