Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Program provides equine-assisted activities to individuals living with special needs. We strive to provide these services in a safe, compassionate, challenging and enjoyable environment.

Our riders are a diverse population, coming from many different backgrounds and ranging in age from four years of age to adult. We provide services to over twenty-five different towns in the central Connecticut area. Participants are often referred to Manes & Motions by:

  • Local youth service programs
  • Physicians
  • Program participants
  • Social service agencies
  • Veterans’ service providers
  • Group homes
  • Rehabilitation facilities

The individuals who come to us have varying degrees of cognitive, physical, behavioral, psychological and sensory disabilities. We assess each participant’s abilities and work with them and their caregivers to develop goals specific to their individual needs.
