Brittany Farms Health Center chaplains offer spiritual and religious care to all who are in need. Chaplains have graduate academic credentials and advanced clinical training. They are trained in inter-faith care, and provide spiritual and religious resources. Chaplains are professionally accountable to their religious faith group, their certifying chaplaincy organization, and to Brittany Farms Health Center. Chaplains maintain confidentiality and provide a supportive pastoral presence.
At Brittany Farms Health Center chaplains address what we call "Care for the Human Spirit." Whether patients and their loved ones are in the middle of a sudden crisis or are addressing a number of common, specific problems older adults encounter, our chaplains are available for:
Spiritual concerns
- Searching for meaning and hope
- Celebrating relief, healing, gratitude
- Dealing with suffering, loss, grief, change or discouragement
- Ethical decisions regarding continuing or discontinuing treatments
- Challenges that can be expected with normal aging

- Reconciliation, forgiveness

- Grace-filled moments
- Other ways God is present (or not) in life
- Spiritual growth in later life
Sacramental or denominational needs
- Contacting one's church, parish, synagogue, mosque, or house of worship

Brittany Farms Health Center values pastoral care as an essential component of our outreach to patients, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and community persons. As members of the health-care team, pastoral care chaplains share the commitment to "also care for the human spirit." During a time of transition, personal, or family illness, chaplains are available to assist you in drawing upon your personal, religious, and spiritual resources and to explore with you your concerns. Chaplains are available to you and your loved ones 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
